Ann Romney Invited To Officiate Gay Wedding On 'Modern Family'

Mitt Ann Romney

After revealing to "Entertainment Tonight" that "Modern Family" is her favorite show, Ann Romney received a personal invitation from show co-creator Steve Levitan to marry Mitch and Cam, the lovable gay couple (played by Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Eric Stonestreet) on the hit ABC comedy series.

"Thrilled Ann Romney says ModFam is her favorite show. We'll offer her the role of officiant at Mitch & Cam's wedding. As soon as it's legal," Levitan later tweeted.

Of course, the offer was sarcastic and a jab at the Romney's public stance on their opposition to gay marriage.

The Romney's will contribute $4.13 million over the next two years to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints—which largely funded Proposition 8 in California, making gay marriage illegal in the state.

The Obamas also cite "Modern Family" as one of their favorite shows, but shouldn't receive as snarky of a response from the show's creator, as The President came out in June in support of gay marriage—but has yet to propose legislation on the matter.

The Obamas and Romneys will have a good bit to look forward to in the new season of "Modern Family," including Gloria's (played by Sofia Vergara) pregnancy and, of course, the wedding.

Getting 'Cold Feet' Is A Sign Of Trouble Ahead

Two-thirds of people about to wed end up having second thoughts about the decision, a new study in the Journal of Family Psychology found.

The problem? The study found that people who have these kinds of doubts are more likely to get divorced. Maybe more of us should follow our guts.

The researchers, led by Thomas Bradbury from the University of California, Los Angeles, surveyed 464 recently married spouses (232 couples) from the Los Angeles area. The researchers asked each husband or wife individually if they had troubles with 'cold-feet' before the wedding and collected other information about their relationship.

They found that about two-thirds of the couples had at least one partner that got anxious about the impending betrothal.

Specifically, 47 percent of husbands and 38 percent of wives came down with cold feet during their engagement period.

They then followed up with the couple every 6 months for 4 years to see how these new nuptials turned out — surveying them on how satisfied they were with their marriage and if they were still with their partner.

About 12 percent of the couples ended up getting divorced by the 4-year-mark. They found a trend toward higher divorce rates in both men and women who had reported cold feet, but only the female trend was significant.

Only 8 percent of wives who didn't have cold feet ended up divorced, while 19 percent of the marriages in which the wives fretted over their marriage were divorced by their fourth anniversary.

Only 8 percent of wives who didn't get cold feet ended up divorced, while 19 percent of the marriages in which the wives fretted over their marriage were divorced by their fourth anniversary.

(The numbers were 9 percent and 14 percent for husbands, respectively.)

In their analysis they controlled for multiple factors that could lead to increased divorce rates, including having divorced parents and how difficult they rated their engagement.

"Taken together, the results indicate that premarital doubts are not simply an instance of feeling anxious before a major event or something to be worked through, but a sign of possible trouble ahead," the researchers write in the paper, published online Sept 3. "This appeared to be less true for men, consistent with our prediction that women’s greater attunement toward relationship problems would render their doubts more diagnostic."

They also noticed that, of intact couples, those who reported cold feet were less satisfied with their marriages to begin with and their marital happiness stayed lower over time.

A couple notes on the study: They didn't get specifics on the degree to which any given person had doubts or the types of doubts that they had about their impending wedding, and the information on their doubt was collected AFTER their weddings, so its possible the after-wedding bliss (or lack of) could have changed their interpretations of their "doubts."

The data were also collected almost 20 years ago, so recent evolution of relationships — say, more couples living together — may mean different results would be found in studies of more recent marriages.

Blake Lively And Ryan Reynolds Secretly Wed—Here's Today's Buzz

The couple, who have been together for about a year, recently purchased a home together in Bedford, N.Y.

Blake Lively Ryan Reynolds Wedding Venue

After a year of dating, "Green Lantern" co-stars Blake Lively, 25, and Ryan Reynolds, 35, (who was previously married to Scarlett Johansson), secretly wed over the weekend in an intimate ceremony at Boone Hall Plantation in Mt. Pleasant, S.C., just outside of Charleston.

And now local Top 40 95SX Hit Music Now pop culture expert Kelly Gukanovich is spilling details of the affair, telling Celebuzz the secret ceremony was "very intimate" with about 70 guests but "a lot of money was spent on the event."

According to Gukanovich, the couple kept it low key, having the nighttime reception catered by  FIG—a local sustainable-food restaurant in the heart of downtown Charleston, which has dishes like wagyu beef crudo, lamb bolognese and fish stew on their menu.

But the Hollywood duo did bring in some star power, having friends Bette Midler and Florence Welch each sing a few songs during the reception.

Prior to the wedding, Midler dined with Lively and her mother, both close friends of the veteran singer-actress, according to Celebuzz.

Welch, who got her hair and makeup done in Charleston for the affair, is also reportedly a close pal of Lively and was “super-nervous" before her performance.

The barn-like venue made of "all old wood" was covered with sheer white curtains for the nuptials (see below), according to Celebuzz. “They rebuilt it after Hurricane Hugo. Very rustic and romantic. It does have barn doors ... most couples who wed at the estate "stroll out onto the dock to exchange vows overlooking the pure-blue water."

The 12 Most Expensive Celebrity Wedding Gowns Of All Time

$

madonna guy ritchie wedding

The average American bride spends $1,500 on her wedding gown.

But that won't do for celebrities. Forbes recently compiled a list of the most expensive weddings and included some of the more exorbitant gowns.

Jennifer Aniston and Tori Spelling spent over $50,000 on their gowns. Victoria Beckham, Melania Trump and Catherine Zeta Jones all had dresses worth six figures.

And Kate Middleton's gown is worth enough to buy you a very large house.

Even the best dress can't buy you love, though. Very few of the celebrity brides we profiled are still married to their grooms.

We wonder what happened to the dresses.

12.) Liza Minelli married David Gest in 2002 in what was said to be the most expensive wedding of all time. Her Bob Mackey gown cost $45,000.

11.) Jennifer Aniston wore this Lawrence Steele gown when she married Brad Pitt in 2000. The dress was said to cost $50,000. The couple divorced five years later.

10.) Tori Spelling married Charlie Shanian in 2004, but divorced a year later. Her custom Badgley Mischka gown cost around $50,000.

Graft Probe Launched After Malaysian Official Throws A 130,000-Guest Wedding

Ali Rustam

Malaysia's anti-graft body is investigating the wedding of a top official's son -- attended by around 130,000 people -- after opposition politicians questioned the celebration's funding.

The wedding on Sunday of Ridhwan Ali, 26, eldest son of Ali Rustam, chief minister of the southern state of Malacca, reportedly lasted eight hours and made it into the Malaysia Book of Records for its massive turnout.

Opposition politicians have since questioned whether state funds were used for the event, and several of them lodged a report with the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission.

A senior commission official confirmed to AFP on Friday that an investigation had been launched.

The minister has been quoted in local media defending the traditional Malay ceremony, saying food had cost some 600,000 ringgit ($200,000) -- and not 13 million ringgit as senior opposition politician Lim Kit Siang had speculated.

"(The opposition) should not be jealous of the huge crowd... The wedding was my own family arrangement and has nothing to do with the state government," Ali was quoted as saying by The Star daily newspaper.

His aide M.S. Mahadevan reportedly said earlier this week that 500 people had volunteered to help out at the event free of charge.

"This is the first wedding ceremony for the chief minister's family and every Malaccan wanted to take part... Even estate workers wearing slippers stood in line to shake hands with the bride and bridegroom," he said.

But opposition politicians, who frequently allege corruption and the misuse of government funds in Malaysia, condemned the celebration.

"Forte of UMNO leaders -- after 55 years in power," Lim tweeted on the day of the wedding, referring to Ali's United Malays National Organisation, which has ruled the country since independence in 1957.

Obama Attended The Wedding Of Vice Presidential Moderator Martha Raddatz

Martha Raddatz

President Barack Obama was a guest at the 1991 wedding of ABC senior foreign correspondent and vice presidential debate moderator Martha Raddatz, The Daily Caller has learned.

Obama and groom Julius Genachowski, whom Obama would later tap to head the Federal Communications Commission, were Harvard Law School classmates at the time and members of the Harvard Law Review.

After TheDC made preliminary inquiries Monday to confirm Obama’s attendance at the wedding, ABC leaked a pre-emptive statement to news outlets including Politico and The Daily Beast Tuesday, revealing what may have been internal network pressure felt just days before Raddatz was scheduled to moderate the one and only vice-presidential debate Thursday night.

Both Politico and The Daily Beast jumped to ABC and Raddatz’s defense. The Huffington Post, a liberal news outlet, joined them shortly thereafter, while calling “unusual” ABC’s attempt to kill the story before it gained wide circulation.

Genachowski — called “Jay” at the time of his wedding, sources told TheDC — and Raddatz would go on to have a son together before their divorce in 1997. They have both since remarried to other people.

A source who attended the 1991 wedding told TheDC that Obama was also a guest there, and remembered that a man by the name of “Barry Obama” was among the guests dancing at the reception.

In August, The Daily Caller first connected Genachowski, an Obama appointee, to Raddatz following her selection as the vice presidential debate moderator by the left-leaning Commission on Presidential Debates. That debate, between Congressman Paul Ryan and Vice President Joe Biden, will take place Thursday night at Centre College in Danville, Kentucky.

Carol Platt Liebau, a political commentator who was a Harvard Law Review colleague of Genachowski and Obama, wrote that “despite being a year below both men on the Review and not close personal friends with either of them,” she remembered Genachowski and Raddatz’s relationship as “quite public” during those days, and that “Raddatz visited Boston frequently.”

Genachowski’s friendship with Obama would continue through the campaign trail in 2008 and into the White House: He aggressively fundraised for Obama in 2008 as a campaign bundler, and served on the presidential transition team before winning his appointment to chair the FCC.

On Monday evening ABC spokesman David Ford grudgingly confirmed Obama’s attendance at the wedding, after shielding Raddatz in August by declining to comment when The Daily Caller first reported the story.

“This is absurd,” Ford said, in the same statement now circulated by ABC’s media allies on the left.

Obama, Ford wrote, “attended their wedding over two decades ago along with nearly the entire Law Review, many of whom went onto successful careers, including some in the Bush administration,” he said without providing a specific number of Harvard Law Review employees to verify the statement.

When pressed further on Tuesday for a specific number of Harvard Law Review employees in attendance at the wedding, Ford could offer none, despite circulating the same unverified approximation through sympathetic media outlets earlier that day in order to discredit The Daily Caller’s reporting.

Ford also could not provide The Daily Caller with a specific number of Harvard Law Review employees who worked with Obama and Genachowski during that year. A photo taken of the Harvard Law Review during Obama and Genachowski’s final year of law school contains 70 people.

The ABC spokesman’s assertion that “nearly the entire Law Review” attended the wedding cast doubt on the significance of Obama’s attendance. But Ford’s unwillingness to document that claim now suggests that Obama was among a close circle of fewer Harvard classmates who were personal friends of Raddatz and Genachowski.

Instead, Ford maintained his ambiguity in subsequent statements to The Daily Caller, identifying only one other Harvard Law Review classmate of Obama and Genachowski who attended the wedding.

When TheDC asked Ford via email Tuesday night for further specifics on actual numbers, he did not respond with any.

The FCC, the Obama campaign and the Romney campaign also did not respond to The Daily Caller’s request for comment.

An Amazing Story From Kate Middleton's Bachelorette Party Last Year

Kate Middleton

Kate Middleton pulled off an epic performance at her bachelorette party last year, UK singer Cheryl Cole claims.

Sarah Karmali at Vogue UK reports about Kate's "hen night" (the British slang for bachelorette party):

"The Duchess of Cambridge dressed up as Cheryl Cole on her hen do. According to the singer, Prince William told her of his wife's tribute at the Queen's Diamond Jubilee concert back in June.

"Kate confessed that she dressed up as me on her hen night, in a bodysuit and split trousers, and sang Fight For This Love," wrote Cole in her new autobiography, Cheryl: My Story. "She even learnt the dance routine and was step-perfect by all accounts, as her sister Pippa and brother James also came over and told me all about it."'

Other details about the party are that it had a "Dirty Dancing" theme and was held at her parents' estate.

If Middleton really dressed up and pulled off a performance, we'd love to see a video.

Europe's Princes And Princesses Are Jetting To Luxembourg For A Royal Wedding This Weekend

$

luxembourg prince guillaume stephanie de lannoy

LUXEMBOURG (AP) — The Grand Duchy of Luxembourg doesn't get a lot of turns in the spotlight.

It's an independent country tinier than Rhode Island, the smallest U.S. state, and it would fit inside Germany, its neighbor to the east, 138 times with room to spare. It won no medals at the 2012 London Olympics — in fact it hasn't won a medal at the summer Games since 1952.

But this week is Luxembourg's turn to shine. Prince Guillaume, the heir to the throne — the grand duke-to-be — will marry Belgian Countess Stephanie de Lannoy.

It will be a two-day affair, including fireworks, concerts, a gala dinner at the grand ducal palace, and two marriages between the betrothed — a civil wedding Friday afternoon and a religious ceremony Saturday morning.

A glittering array of European royalty has been invited. The guest list for the religious ceremony includes kings, queens, princes and princesses from European countries including, among others, Belgium, Norway, Sweden, Lichtenstein, Denmark, the Netherlands, Romania and Britain, which is sending Prince Edward, Queen Elizabeth's youngest child, and his wife, Sophie.

Non-European royalty will be attending, as well, from Morocco, Japan and Jordan and elsewhere.

With all those royals coming to Luxembourg, can international attention be far behind?

"It's good for Luxembourg," said Nadine Chenet, a 46-year-old street cleaner who was picking up cigarette butts with pincers in front of the grand ducal palace. "Many people will come now."

Besides, she just plain likes the royal family, she said: They give a good impression of the country.

That's a sentiment common in Luxembourg. To all appearances, the bride and groom are a lovely couple. He is 30, with dark hair and an immaculate beard. She is 28, blonde and smiling. In public appearances, including at the London Olympics, they have appeared besotted with each other.

According to biographies distributed by the royal court, each has an array of interests befitting those who are to the manner born.

Guillaume speaks four languages, has studied international politics, is a lieutenant colonel in the Luxembourg army (a force of 900 soldiers), and has been engaged in humanitarian work in other countries, including Nepal. The duchess-to-be has studied the influence of German romanticism on Russian romanticism, plays piano and violin, swims, skis, and says she reads three books at a time.

In the language department, she already speaks French and German — two of Luxembourg's three official languages — and, perhaps more importantly, is studying the third, which is called Luxembourgish. She plans to renounce her Belgian citizenship in order to become, eventually, Luxembourg's grand duchess.

Luxembourg is a linguistically complicated country, a reflection of its complicated past. It began as a Roman fortress. It has, at one time or another, fallen under the control of Spain, France and Austria. In 1839, it gained its independence from the Netherlands, but lost more than half its territory to Belgium, which now has a province of the same name. In the 20th century, Germany swept through Luxembourg twice despite its protestations of neutrality.

Luxembourgish is related to German, but it is primarily a spoken language. In the country's schools, elementary students take all their classes in German. When students reach their teens, gradually all classes are converted to French. And English is studied the entire time.

But the language dearest to their hearts is Luxembourgish. As 71-year-old retired engineer Rene Ries — a typical Luxembourger, with a French first name and a German last name — said, Luxembourgish is generally spoken in the home. When there is a complaint, the police file their reports in German. Then the lawyers litigate the case in French.

Asked in which language he felt most comfortable, Ries replied without hesitation that it was Luxembourgish. But he admitted he had trouble writing it. Under duress, he could write his daughter a postcard, he said, but the language is most commonly spoken, not written.

Luxembourg, an important financial center and home to the world's largest steel manufacturer, continues to prosper despite Europe's economic trouble. The country has the second-highest gross domestic product per capita in the world, more than $80,000 — though its population of about 510,000 people is still smarting from having lost the No. 1 spot to Qatar. The capital city has 80,000 inhabitants and 120,000 jobs.

For that reason, more than 43 percent of the people in Luxembourg are foreign nationals, compared to a European Union average of 6.4 percent. When he greets people in the public square, Ries speaks not German, not French, not English, but Luxembourgish. It is not to shame the others. It is to show he is a genuine Luxembourger.

Natives of the Grand Duchy, heavily influenced by Catholicism, are very proper and can be dour.

"When we say, 'It's not too bad,'" Ries said, "we mean it's good."

But above all, they are proud. Proud of their multilingualism. Proud of their grand duchy. And proud of their royal family. The current grand duke, Henri, who is 57, is popular. People can greet him on the street without bowing down before him. His 31-year marriage to Grand Duchess Maria Teresa appears to be very happy. Showcasing the royal family, as the country will do this week, allows Luxembourg to put its best foot forward.

For, as Ries emphasized more than once, the Luxembourgish royals — in contrast to some others — do not sunbathe topless. And for him, that is a source of pride, one he is happy to share with the rest of the world.

"It is a good family," he said.

Inside Justin Timberlake And Jessica Biel's Reported $6 Million Wedding

$

0

Justin Timberlake Jessica Biel

After five years of dating, Justin Timberlake, 31, and Jessica Biel, 30, tied the knot Friday at the Borgo Egnazia resort in the southern Italian city of Fasano.

"It's great to be married, the ceremony was beautiful and it was so special to be surrounded by our family and friends," the couple confirmed in a statement to People.

But the ceremony five years in the making was no small — or cheap — affair.

E! Online is reporting that the overseas wedding could have put the Hollywood couple back over $6.5 million.

If the reported figure is real, "it's definitely a lot," Bridal Bar founder Harmony Walton tells E! Online. "Especially if this is an intimate affair, which it is rumored to be. However, with celebrity destination weddings in places like Italy, there are things that come into play that can jump a wedding budget dramatically."

"If they've booked out a whole hotel — and chances are, they have — they're probably footing the bill for all of their guests," Walton explains. "And if those guests are there for five to seven days, that could be a million alone, depending on the hotel."

A standard rate for a regular room at the Borgo Egnazia resort, where the Timberlake's held their affair, costs €310/night.

It's also common for stars to spend "as much on a rehearsal dinner as they do on a wedding," Walton notes.

Timberlake and Biel's guests had no idea they were heading to Italy. "Guests flew out on Monday and landed in Frankfurt with no further instructions,” a source told Celebuzz. “Upon their arrival, they were all given itineraries and tickets to the south of Italy, where the wedding festivities will take place.”

"The celebrations began earlier this week, with an evening bash at the beachfront resort of Riva Dei Ginepri. During the soiree, partygoers — which included guests like Saturday Night Live alum Andy Samberg and Biel’s former 7th Heaven co-star, Beverly Mitchell — soon took in the majestic Southern Italy scenery, traditional Neapolitan music and a dazzling 10-minute fireworks display," reports Celebuzz.

"Events leading up to a destination wedding tend to be experiential," Walton continued to E! Online. "Maybe they're renting vintage cars for 75 of their closest friends so they can do a car rally up the coast of Italy. If they're getting helicopter tours for their guests to take tours of the neighboring islands, that's going to cost."

But Timberlake and Biel aren't the first celebs to drop the big bucks on their wedding. Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes spent a reported $2 million on their Italian affair, while former couples Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston and Madonna and Guy Ritchie both dropped around $1.5 million for their nuptials.

Here's to hoping the newlyweds have better luck than their pricey party predecessors.

Borgo EgnaziaAs we reported on Friday, Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel said "I do" at an Italian resort with friends and family on October 19.

The wedding supposedly took place at Borgo Egnazia, a five-star hotel with stunning views of Roman ruins and the Mediterranean sea.

E! Online first reported that the wedding potentially set the couple back $6.5 million. The cost factors in if Timberlake and Biel rented out the entire hotel, paid for their guests' flights, and hired security staff, not to mention helicopter tours for their guests to take in the surroundings.

Welcome to the gorgeous Italian resort, Borgo Egnazia. It's located close to the town of Puglia as well as the Mediterranean Sea.

The resort sits on roughly 50 acres of land, and includes a golf course, beach club, and spa.

Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake reportedly booked the entire resort, including the 63 rooms and 28 villas.

People Magazine Paid Justin Timberlake & Jessica Biel A Measly Amount For Their Wedding Photos

Justin Timberlake Jessica Biel

Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel exchanged vows at a seaside hotel in Southern Italy last week in front of 100 of their closest friends and family.

But now the world will be able to participate in celebrating the newly minted Timberlakes' nuptials, as the couple have just sold their wedding pictures to People magazine for $300,000 and to OK! in Europe for an unspecified price, reports PageSix.

But $300,000 is a measly amount compared even to the $1 million People shelled out for photos of Anna Nicole Smith and Howard Stern's wedding in 2006.

Demi Moore Ashton KutcherHopefully, OK! magazine's "undisclosed amount" will be on par with the $3 million the mag paid Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher for access to their 2005 Kaballah wedding photos or the $2 million OK! paid Eva Longoria and Tony Parker for photos of "The wedding of the year."

Surely Timberlake and Biel's week-long, reported $6 million affair, which drew celebrity guests such as Andy Samberg and Jimmy Fallon, is worth more than $300,000 to People magazine.

But the deal, no matter how small, has allowed the new couple to control the press surrounding their long-awaited wedding. Timberlake spoke exclusively to the publication, saying the wedding was "magical" and "an unforgettable evening," while Biel says "It was a fantasy."

After a five-year relationship plagued by bad press and rumors of cheating, the $300,000 allows the Timberlakes to control exactly what the world knows about their private moment.

Eva Longoria Tony ParkerJust don't expect to see any of Timberlake's former N*Sync band members in the pics when they are released Wednesday.

“The band were not invited and are pretty upset about it," a source told Page Six. "But the wedding guests were mainly close family and friends.”

Even if the couple didn't want to profit off their "magical" day, they could have taken a page out of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's book (the couple used the reported $15 million from their twins' baby photos to set up a foundation to help children internationally) and easily demanded a higher price tag and donated the money to charity.

Justin Timberlake Apologizes For Tasteless Wedding Video After Major Backlash And Threats Of A Lawsuit

Justin Timberlake Jessica Biel

Little did real estate agent Justin Huchel know that the private wedding video he made for friends Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel, featuring homeless people wishing them well from the streets of Los Angeles, would be seen by nearly 80,000 people on YouTube.

The eight-minute video, cut down online to 20 seconds, begins with text saying "Greetings from your Hollywood friends who just couldn't make it," and goes on to feature L.A. street musicians, transexuals and homeless people wishing the Hollywood couple well.

One of the men featured in the video told TMZ that he was outraged as he was paid $40 to appear in the piece and felt that he had been tricked.

To watch the video, click here.

After Gawker somehow obtained the clip and posted it Thursday, Huchel's lawyers threatened a lawsuit, stating, "Mr. Huchel made [the] video to be used and exhibited privately at Justin Timberlake's wedding as a private joke without Mr. Timberlake's knowledge ... Further, Mr. Huchel informs us that his copyrighted video was recently stolen."

Read the full letter from Huchel's attorney on Gawker here.

While Gawker initially refused to comply with the take-down request, they later complied after a second letter claimed it was a violation of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act.

But the lawyers were a little late, as nearly 80,000 people have now watched the video clip online and bashed Timberlake as a result.

As one commenter on the video wrote, "What is offensive is that these people who make 8 digits per year made a video to show to their friends (who also make 8 digits a year) a 'funny' video about how these people just couldn't make it to the JJ wedding. It's sarcastic and tasteless, and sad."

On Friday, Timberlake finally took to his blog to apologize for the unfunny joke, saying "I am deeply sorry to anyone who was offended by the video. Again, it was something that I was not made aware of. But, I do understand the reaction and, by association, I am holding myself accountable."

Read the full letter below:

AN OPEN LETTER

To my family, friends, and fans:

The last time I wrote a letter like this, it was when I had the good fortune of attending a once in a lifetime experience by sharing an evening with some of America’s finest at the Marine Corps Ball about a year ago. I was so moved by that night, I wanted to share it with everyone. Unfortunately, this letter holds a different kind of weight for me.

Normally, as some of you know, I am (by nature) a pretty private person. So, I don’t really take it upon myself to comment on things that so often go misunderstood or something that has even shed any kind of dark light on what was and will always be one of the most special weeks of my life. But, in light of the recent events, I can’t fight the urge to clarify my thoughts and feelings on what has been a very upsetting portrayal of the people closest to me and myself. It’s not who I am as a professional or as a man.

I can’t help but think of one of the many great life lessons my Grandfather has taught me… He told me when I was younger that “Sometimes, you are confronted with challenges in life that perhaps are not your own. And, when those moments arise, the right thing for a man to do is accept that responsibility, whatever it may be, and face it with honesty and humility.”

So, I’m taking his advice. If for no other reason, than to clear the air so no one has to ever wonder how I feel about it.

I’d like to start off by saying that I don’t live my life making fun of people (unless, of course, I’m making fun of myself on SNL)… Especially, those who are less fortunate or those in need. I grew up with a family and community that instilled ideals in me like hard work, honesty and empathy. As a matter of fact, growing up in Tennessee, I was always taught that we as people, no matter what your race, sex, or stature may be, are equal. We have a saying there that “Everyone puts their pants on the same way(maybe this saying doesn’t apply to guys who wear kilts. Although, I’m sure they put theirs on the same way too…)”

As it pertains to this silly, unsavory video that was made as a joke and not in any way in mockery:

1. I had no knowledge of its existence. I had absolutely ZERO contribution to it.

2. My friends are good people. This was clearly a lapse in judgment which I’m sure no one who is reading this is exempt from. But, I don’t believe it was made to be insensitive. More so, I think it was made as a joke on me not having that many friends attending my own wedding(which IS kind of funny if you think about it).

3. Like many silly rumors that I have been made aware of about the week: It was NOT shown at my wedding.

4. I think we can all agree that it was distasteful, even though that was not it’s intention.

Once again, in the world that we live in where everyone thinks that they know everything, I want to be very clear… I am NOT defending the video. I agree with the overall consensus. But, to use another “pants” analogy… It seems that these days, misconception gets around the world before the actual truth even wakes up and gets it’s pants on.

I want to say that, on behalf of my friends, family, and associative knuckleheads, I am deeply sorry to anyone who was offended by the video. Again, it was something that I was not made aware of. But, I do understand the reaction and, by association, I am holding myself accountable.

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to share my thoughts. It really is a blessing to be able to speak directly to my true fans so that you can know exactly where I stand.

-Justin

P.S. You can bet your ass that I’m having my friend do at least 100 hours of community service… Boom.

Just don't expect to hear from the 100 or so fellow guests at the Timberlake/Biel wedding on the topic, as they have likely been signed to secrecy.

According to E! Online, "it's pretty common for guests to be asked to sign confidentiality agreements at the same time that they respond to the wedding invitations."

"The agreements are usually signed prior to disclosing the date and location of the event, so as to prevent any leaks of when and where," family law attorney Lubov Stark tells E!

And the guests at the Timberlake/Biel nuptials, were, in fact, kept in the dark of where they were going until arriving in Frankfurt during a layover on their way to Italy for the actual wedding.

Janeane Garofolo

Comedian/actress Janeane Garofalo had no idea that she's been married to "Big Bang Theory" producer Rob Cohen for the past 20 years.

"Rob and I got married, for real, which we had to have a notary dissolve not 30 minutes before we got here tonight," Garofalo revealed at the New York Comedy Festival reunion for "The Ben Stiller Show," per the New York Post. "We were married for 20 years until this evening."

Cohen was a writer on Stiller's series in the 90s, when the comedic couple tied the knot.

But apparently, what happens in Vegas doesn't always stay in Vegas

"We got married drunk in Vegas. We dated for a year, and we got married at a drive-through chapel in a cab," Garofolo explained. "[We thought] you have to go down to the courthouse and sign papers and stuff, so who knew? We were married, and apparently now that [Rob] is getting married for real, his lawyer dug up something."

Cohen is currently engaged to Jill Leiderman, a producer on "Jimmy Kimmel Live."

Not that Cohen and Garofolo were ever meant to be. The "Reality Bites" actress joked “I’m sure I was terrible," to which Cohen responded “I will confirm that.”

Garofalo then added she no longer drinks.

Bride Successfully Sues Dressmaker For Ruining Her Wedding Dress And Her 'Special Day'

A New York bride spent more money on alterations than her actual dress, but that didn't stop the gown from falling apart on her special day.

In a recently resolved lawsuit, Samantha Shea claimed she paid seamstress Dalia Cohen $600 to alter her $599 wedding dress, but the zipper broke an hour before her pre-ceremony cocktails.

The mishap forced Shea to pay Gansevoort Hotel employees $200 to sew her into the dress, Reuters reported Monday.

Shea filed a $1,000-lawsuit against Cohen, claiming the seamstress ruined her dress by installing a faulty zipper.

And the judge agreed.

District Judge Gary Knobel acknowledged Cohen "robbed [Shea] of experiencing the joy of her very special day."

The judge ordered the seamstress to pay Shea $1,000 and compensate her for the money she paid hotel staff to sew her into her dress and the $100 she paid the minister for delays caused by the fashion mishap, according to Reuters.
